The Bearded Blogger

Europe's most identifiable influencer ?
But don't judge me!

I'm a price savvy & slightly edgy solo traveller with a trademark hipster beard and ever changing coloured mohawk which has become my USP.

For over three and a half decades I've been criss-crossing the continent by ferry and and I'm still going!

My mohawk is my unique selling point; its colour changes to reflect the country I'm visiting making me instantly recognisible on social media - it sparks conversations from fellow ferry passengers, many of which ask for selfies, giving me the perfect opportunity to promote my brand.

But don't worry, I do scrub up quite nicely for promotional events.

P&O Liberté

I was truly honoured to have been invited to attend the prestigious naming ceremony of P&O Liberté, the world's largest double-ended ferry

Why ferries?

Well, just me and a backpack I always travel from A2B by ferry & I wouldn't have it any other way!

Ferries offer excellent value for money, ever changing vistas & onboard facilities which turn travel time into part of your memorable adventure; restaurants, bars, leisure facilities, cinemas, shops, children's entertainment & comfortable ensuite cabins will allow you to create happy memories.

From the Irish Sea to the Baltic & the Mediterranean to the Aegean, I explore not just the destinations but the ships themselves. I collate handy hints & tips of the port formalities so when YOU set off on your own adventures whether its through a Moroccan port, Greek harbour or Norwegian fjord you'll know exactly what to expect.

I travel around the continent by hydrofoil, hovercraft, catamaran, traditional car ferry and even cruise-ferries to prove one thing, European ferry travel is THE way to travel from A2B.

What makes me qualified?

I've been studying the European ferry scene since the early 1990's.

Over the past 35 years I've established an extensive archive which I constantly refer too.

Having travelled aboard most ferries operating within Europe, I provide unbiased, genuine, first hand knowledge & practical tips.

I love writing about what interests me and share my thoughts & observations with my readers around the world who want a smarter, more adventurous way to travel.
